I never thought there would be so much paperwork to fill out to go into Army ROTC. Most of it is for security purposes since an officer is a security sensitive position. That isn't the bad part though. I have to recall everything from the past 10 years. I can't even remember what happened 5 years ago. I'm tempted to just stay within the enlisted ranks, but I want at least to retire with the gold bar of a 2nd Lieutenant, so this is another (bothersome) job I must do to get back into the military.

Anyway, the good thing about it is that once I'm in the program, I will not be deployed (whether military base or the battlefield) until I receive my Bachelor's degree and finish Officer Candidate School. Pretty much, I won't get deployed for about 5 years, when I become a 2nd Lieutenant.

I've never been so excited to go back into the military. I never felt this happy when I first enlisted. This is one happy moment and hopefully, there will be more.
